I have a closet full of clothes, some of which I have not seen or worn in several months or even years. Same goes for shoes, belts, ties, and so on. If my memory serves me right, at time of purchase I really believed that I needed all these items, and maybe I did some for a while, but the luster quickly wears off, and soon they are pushed to the back of the closet to make way for newer, neater, more current "stuff". Admittedly, some of the items I own were gifts received from kind hearted well meaning friends and family, however, the fact remains that I could have done without them.

To a varying degree, we might all find ourselves in this situation at one time or the other in our lives, where we really have enough to keep going comfortably but the birthday's, anniversary's, Christmas's, and all other opportunities to receive gifts keep coming around and here comes more stuff.
